The scholarship consists of 1600 CHF per month for the entire duration of the Master’s programme.
For further information (study programmes, major, minor, etc.) about the Master’s programmes offered at the university please contact the department concerened directly.
Criteria for selection:
- Applicants must, by end of July, have graduated with at least a Bachelor’s degree in the same field of study as the selected Master’s programme
- The applicant’s place of residence during the application period must be outside Switzerland
- The applicant’s file must include the following in duplicate:
- Application form
- Form ‘Admission to Master’s Prgramme’ with all necessary documents
- Evidence of sufficient proficiency in German or dispensation granted by the faculty concerned at Universität Bern
- Curriculum vitae/resume
- Letter of motivation and objectives
- Letter of recommendation and confirmation from a professor at Universität Bern guaranteeing scientific supervision of the study project
- Transcript of grades obtained during Bachelor studies, diploma(photocopies) or confirmation from home university that Bachelor studies will be completed by the end of July
- Record of school-leaving examination, i.e. higher education entrance qualification (e.g. photocopies of secondary school certificates)
- 2 passport photos
- Copy of passport
- The application must be written in the language of the corresponding Master’s course
- Each application must be submitted in duplicate (2 paper copies).
- Incomplete application files will not be considered!
